Great Minds are Young

Positive Attitude!

Posted on: September 13, 2011

I was thinking the whole day about my old students and their first day back to school. Knowing them very much was what worried me. I know that despite their sweet heart, kindness, and bright mind, they hate unexpected things (though they must have expected most of what happened;) ), they are over sensitive and tend to take things personal.

It might seem hard to get separated from friends we love, it might seem hard to lose people we got used to and accept new ones with totally different mind sets and personalities. It might seem hard to keep a positive attitude when upset… But it is NOT…

Dearest ladies, give yourself, your new teachers and the administrative staff a break. Keep the positive attitude. Embrace change and look forward to a fruitful and special year. Smile smile smile and keep smiling.

Last week I asked a young child to draw a “Back to school” picture for me. He gave me this one:

I looked at it and smiled, and before I had the chance to ask him why he did not draw anything related to school he said, “Summer is not over, everything is beautiful and happy!”

I could see a nice innocent lesson here 🙂 How about you?
