Young Egyptian Nada Al Dash, who always has a lot of interesting talents and experiences to share, is sharing with us today some of her best memories; her “La La Memories.” She says: “La La memories are imaginary memories; things that I thought they would never happen, but I have lived them and I would like to share them with all of you.”

La La memories

 La la memories we had

Some were good, some were bad

But in this picture we had so much fun

It was such a beautiful day especially with the bright sun

Usually mama doesn’t laugh in pictures like this,

But in this one you wouldn’t imagine the things my father did

Oh, too many la la memories we had

And the outdoors were not so bad

In this picture

You can see the glance
of my sister’s smile

The goofiness of my brother’s arrival

Too many good times

Too many great shines

You wouldn’t imagine how many laughs we had

Of course they were all good not bad

We played, danced, and sang

Sounds were loud, too many phones that rang

Wow! Too many laughs we had

In the park with the beautiful, and colorful flowers

My baby cousins thinking they have powers

Standing behind a huge tower

It was an amazing park indeed

I love my family and friends, I do

And I’ll cherish theses la la memories forever too

We laughed so hard

Many people thought we were funk

Many people thought we were drunk

Many people thought we were crazy

Many people thought we were Just lazy

I love these la la memories

Soon there will be more la la memories to remember

But right now I will cherish this one forever.

“Music’s the Medicine of my Mind!” When I read this on the wall of 14-year-old Lebanese Jennifer Al Ghoul I felt curious, happy and proud… Whether quoting John Logan or saying this from the heart, Jenny expressed her feelings, thoughts, and appreciation of music in the best way she could. Being a guitar player, and constantly trying to compose her own music, Jenny seeks comfort, consolation, inspiration and joy in music.

The great attachment of this young generation to music in general is impressive, but do all young people truly appreciate real music, and try to understand and interpret it? It is true that music has a special significance to each and every person, but does this generation have a proper musical education and culture? Do youngsters take advantage of the benefits of “real” music?

Research has shown that children that are actively involved with music have better academic results, their concentration ability is much better, their body control is stronger and their self-esteem is considerably higher.

Among many other functions, Music is a mood regulator, spirit uplifter, creativity booster and a great healer. Music is indeed the medicine of our mind…

Here’s another contribution of Nada Al Dash. I personally liked a lot how her hand and the camera show in the iris! Nice Shot Nada 🙂

Let’s check together what Nada has to say about it.

“This is a picture called “The secret eye”. It is a picture I took of my eye. I took it because behind those eyes is a girl full of secrets. Behind those eyes lie all my hopes, dreams, and reality. Eyes always have a story to tell and this is mine. I am who I am! I love it, I am living it, and I have been dreaming about it. This is me, but who are you? Take a picture of your eye and you will discover many things about yourself you haven’t known yet….. Good Luck! :)”

Raghad Al Redha is a 15-year-old ambitious and sensitive Emarati young lady. Like a lot of people she visits touristic places and takes as many beautiful pictures as possible. But unlike a lot others, she communicates with the places she visits and the photos she takes. They whisper to her their stories and songs…

Here’s a picture Raghad took last spring in Venice, and the story it whispered to her.

Serenity is Everywhere...

“Between damaged houses, shattered lives, broken dreams, and homeless citizens, there’s always a bright side! Serenity, calmness and peace don’t only belong to isolated lands far away from ACTION! They can be found anywhere, unexpectedly.”
